Here is an interesting Colour Chart that I purchased recently. It dates back to September 1949 and was printed by The Smith Press in England and would have been an alternative to the Stanley Gibbons Colour chart shown elsewhere in this forum, although this one goes into more detail. The colour stamps have all been stuck into the chart. It was not easy to scan since it is hinged at the upper left with a hole punch stud, so, please excuse the slightly out of focus images. I'll show it over 10 scans. The original measures 7.5" by 5".

That's a very nice item. As the explanantion for its existence is all about agreement on colour name standardisation I would assume is came from an enthusiatic stamp dealer or a philatelic club. Nice to see they give full credit where it is due
