Well done to everyone who submitted designs! Several of these look like more time and effort was put into them than into most of the "real" stamps the USA has issued this year. There are some excellent options from which to choose.

Could someone explain to us Colonials across the pond whether the design 'C' is based on an English Royal 'Machine' stamp label? It looks familiar so I am thinking it could be a spoof. Is there an in-joke we will be unaware of here?

Any chance someone could post up a picture of the 'correct' Postal Office stamp?

It's a pastiche of our 'Post & Go' Machin stamps...

There are lots more examples online; some very attractive wildlife versions illustrated not 20 miles from here; just Google 'Post & Go Machin'.

Well done, indeed. Great design, as they all were. Looking forward to seeing it in real life.

And I'll add my congratulations to the winning designer. Again, there were some great options this year!

Let me know if anyone is interested in designing (and buying) a sheet of stamps for our sixth year.

If enough people are interested I now have enough sample sheets of gummed paper to get a short run of last year's winer printed and will print those at the same time as this years'. But there must be enough people interested in buying sufficient sheets to make it worth printing - or my attempts at fundraising will be a complete waste of time!

If I like the design, I will buy. I can't be fairer than that. Wink

I will buy a sheet to support the forum and the people who pay for it and maintain it; whether I like the design or not.

That sounds even fairer to me.  Wink
