I have a small group of Swiss WWII regimental stamps. I believe they may have used on field post by Swiss Forces during the war. There is no value, but serving soldiers were exempt from postage rates, so these may have identified post from being 'postage-dued' when it hit the regular postage post offices.

The regiments / company stamps are:
2 varieties 44th Field Battery
15th Surveillance Group
Supplies and Catering
Medical service
27th Air Defence Detachment
4th Division 10th Infantry Brigade
Border Troop Bat. Fr.
Supply / Catering
28th Motorised Transport Group
5th Division VPF ABT 5 (whatever that is!)
76th Territorial Regiment

If anybody can add to this please do so.

I have a few of these including one used on cover. They were first issued during World War I when Switzerland ensured that its borders were well defended should any country try to take a shortcut through Switzerland. National Service was compulsory on a part-time basis over several years.

The stamps were  initially issued locally for charitable purposes. Later they were issued by all regiments and sold to the public to raise funds for the families of the soldiers. They were used on mail to denote free postage although there was no obligation to do so since forces mail was free anyway. There were  about 400 issued during WWI and over 2000 issued during WWII. They exist both with and without perforations.

Included here is a progressive proof and two from WWI (same design imperf.):

I was unsure whether mine were WWI or WWII, but did do a bit of research and decided the helmets on my stamps were of WWII design. This backed up my impression that the designs themselves looked to be of a later design, and usefully some are actually dated. All of mine would seem to be WWII, while you have a nice mix from both eras. They do provide quite an interesting subject for a collection, and I was unaware that there so many different stamps issued, so they do provide the opportunity for an ongoing sub-collection. I believe that some were allowed to be used by those in internment camps in Switzerland, which had an unsurprising number of people crossing over the border. Switzerland's neutrality could be compromised if preferential treatment was given to either side, so many nationalities were involved.

Three more. Posting these up because to me they seem of a much later design than 1940ish

I cannot see the other images shown earlier on this thread. Is it only my browser causing this problem or can anyone else see them?

I agree. If posters decide to wipe their pics from the host, then the whole post should go. It looks awful.
Who would be in charge of such actions ?
