 . . . the only controversy about your comment Steve, is to use 'Kate Price' and 'skillbase' together in a sentence. Surely that can only be a contradiction in terms.

I think it's dangerous to judge a book just on synopsis. Yes it's an idea that has been used in a similar way before (Sliders?) but we know Terry often puts his on spin on these things. I am reserving judgement until I see what this take is.
