Does anyone have a favourite era for cinderella designs?

I know it's a sweeping generalisation, but the 1930s cinderellas tend to catch my eye.
With a memory full of ships, and seas, and perilous headlands, and the shining Pharos, he must apply his long sighted eyes to the petty niceties of drawing. - Robert Louis Stevenson

Perhaps late Victorian up to 1925. A bit broader range than Hilary. Nice decorative scrolly, floral, classic designs.

The 1930s for poster stamps though. Advertisement type stamps were in a class of their own then.

Modern ones don't cut it quite, but there are exceptions.

I would suggest the 1910s. Here are 3 very attractive examples. I'm not sure precisely what the first one is for but it is Austrian and shows a William Tell theme but it makes mention of Achduke Karl Franz Josef who became the last Emperor of Austria in 1916 after his grand-uncle Emperor Franz Josef died. He was also nephew to Achduke Franz Ferdinand who was heir to Franz Josef until he was assassinated on 28th June 1914, a date shown on the stamp.

The second is for a decorative arts trade show in Munich. The third is an iconic design for  the International Hygiene Exhibition held in Dresden in 1911.

I like the poster stamps from the 30's & 40's too.  Probably because I've always loved travel posters and ads from that era.
