Gosh!  I've never been able to be the first person to post a new post in a virgin Forum before.  What power.

Of course my brain has done what brains do when confronted with this sort of opportunity  - it's gone blank.

My name is Keith and I am a stampaholic.

I've collected stamps for about 30 years.  My interest in Cinderellas comes from collecting the Discworld stamps of Colin Edwards/Alan Batley.  When they stopped appearing I joined the old forum and started collecting Colin/Alan's other offerings and also Steve Tandy' Welsh Postal Oddities and, latterly, Hilary Daniels' Pharos issues.

I am interested in learning more about the wider world of Cinderellas and I'm hoping to learn lots from you all.  When you all arrive that is.  For the minute I'll just tap my foot and wait....  Patiently.

and I'm Steve as you can guess

I too have a more than healthy interest in many types of Cinderella stamps, and I am grateful for this forum and its predecessor for giving me the opportunity to paly at some of my own design and stuff.

When I am not dabbling in philately I have a range of interests - formula one and collecting the model racing cars thereof, carnivorous plants, amateur paleaontology, the music of Pink floyd amongst other things. Please dont get me interested in anything new.

Greetings to all...

Colin has been prompting me ever since he started the first forum, to join the group here. Today's the day that it finally occured, thanks to his notice of this new forum site (and a follow-up by Steve T., as well). Thanks to both of you for letting me know about this new forum site and to Colin, for your continued prompting.

Many here may already know me, as I wear a number of hats when it comes to all the various types of Cinderella stamps (philatelic alternatives) of today. Hopefully, you may also collect some of my stamps. Or, perhaps we've been able to help you get started in stamps of your own, one way or another.  The Olathe Poste has been around in concept since early 2000 and commercially since 2002.

To keep things simple here for now, here's a few of the high points...

Star Some of my art works are published as artistamps under the "authority" of The Olathe Poste as artistamps.

Star Some of my works, as an artist, stamp designer and producer are published under the "authority" of my personal local post, known to many collectors throughout the world as the International Local Post.

Star And for those of you who may also collect postmarks and are familiar with Mailer's Postmark Permits (MPPs), I am known to many because of our variety of postmarks (currently about 60-plus designs) that we cancel mail with here at The Olathe Poste and Intl. Local Post HQ, everyday.  (I'm also member #841 of the Mailer's Postmark Permit Club, here in the U.S.)

Star I'm also a member of the American Philatelic Society and one of their advertisers in the APS' excellent monthly journal, The American Philatelist.

And, of course, you may have seen The Olathe Poste trade-name on stamps or stamp sheets that we've produced for other artists and enthusiasts around the world.

If you've got some time to spare and care to learn more our operations, here's a few URLs to check out that will give you more information about us...

Thanks again for the invite, Colin, and all my best wishes to you all!

Hello Again Everyone
I've signed up again as Murgatroyd... because it's the name that I always use on forums... every forum board I join, just for consistency... Some of you may know me as Charles Braham, but believe me... Murgatroyd's a much more interesting chap.
I became involved with Cinderella stamps through Discworld stamps, and they remain my primary interest. I've been reading the discworld stories since they first appeared, all those years ago, and have always loved Terry's work. I came to the stamps rather late though, I started to put my collection together last November, and in 5 months I've aquired all but about 56 of the little devils. Out of those 56 remaining stamps, I'm more or less resigned to the fact that I'll never own about 25... because they either are simply not available, or would be too expensive if they did become available... (Blue Triangle sport, Green Susan Sport etc. etc.) So realistically I've got about 31 left to get... and I'm working on it. I'm not doing quite so well with the sheets... I have nearly 100 sheets, and I reckon I still need about 50, give or take... (These are the "Common" sheets... not one of a kind prizes.... Can't afford them either.) It seems that I am attempting a Champaigne collecting habit on small beer resources... providing I don't go broke, I'll try and hang on in there though.
However my dallience with Discworld stamps has led me into other flirtations, I've involved myself with Steve's wonderful Postal Oddities of Wales, Hilary's beautiful lighthouses, and some of Colin's lovely items as well. So It looks as though I'm now a confirmed Flatalist, and Philanderer...
Just to make things more complicated, I buggered off to retire in Thailand a couple of years ago, and now live just outside Bangkok with my beautiful Thai Wife and her seven year old daughter. Thailand's a lovely country, and I'm enjoying myself very much. Shame that my postman here could teach Nobby Nobbs a thing or two about larceny, and I have to have everything sent by a "Sign for on delivery" service to prevent him from routinely nicking it...
I'm so glad that this forum has risen Phoenix like from the ashes of the previous one... I was missing it.

Hi  I'm Jonty, a refugee and ship wreck survivor from the wreck of the old Cinderella's forum. and also a member of the C.A forum

Got into Cinderella's in 2005, when I discovered Discworld Stamps, from there I started collecting anything else that Colin and Alan churned out  and recently started on Hilary's Pharos Stamps.
I have considered collecting The "Tetra Terra" and "Welsh oddities" from members on this here Forum, and so far have managed to abstain, for which my wallet is truly grateful Shift+R improves the quality of this image. Shift+A improves the quality of all images on this page.
