I thought non-members might like to see the entrants for this year's anniversary stamps. There are some lovely designs this year and it seems a pity not to give them a wider audience ...

Members will need to log-in to vote, more details are in the Members' section - please do not forget!
Voting closes on 12th May.
If you have any comments about the stamps please make them in this thread - and, although it should go without saying... please remember to respect the members who have been bold enough to submit their work.

Agreed. These designs are jaw droppingly good. How do you pick just one.
What about a pack containing one of each ?

What about a pack containing one of each ? | The cost of printing enough of 14 different designs would, I suspect, be prohibitive.

is there somewhere on the forum we can see the previous years` designs?

How do you pick just one? You don't! Pick your favourite three, then score those 3 to 1 in order - that is about as fair as we can be.
So far out of the almost 300 members we have had votes from almost 50 members. It would be nice if we could get more members to vote so if you know of anyone who hasn't voted yet PLEASE encourage them to do so.
With such a variety of concepts and styles there must be something here that appeals to everyone

What a fantastic selection!
Will we ever find out who is responsible for each design?

Based on previous years, no. Though I'm happy to lay claim to all of them!

If we are going to have a proof of the previous years' designs next year it might be nice to see the stamps attributed to their designers, so that no-one could later claim to have designed them.
Or we could have a competition next year to guess who did which stamp design...

I like the anonymity. Otherwise the temptation might be to vote for someone whose other stamps you like, or perhaps not vote for someone who has won in the past. Has the winner always declared themselves in previous years? A bit of mystery would be fun.

Sorry! I had logged on with the intention of saying THANK YOU to Admin for putting up the pictures of previous year's winners and had completely forgotten.
THANKS ADMIN!!!
I can't wait to see which design wins, there are so many really good ideas to choose from this year.

This discussion seems to arise every year, and previous winners have chosen to remain anonymous, which we have to respect. As for unscrupulous people laying claim, Admin knows who designed them and would give any imposter a serious slapping.

Speaking of unscrupulous people, I claim every winning design. If Colin tries to say I didn't I'll have to sue!

I'll own up to being one of this year's submitters...but I'm not going to say which design(s) I submitted until after the voting has ended.
For what it's worth, my wife's top three picks did not include anything by me. The gall! ;-)

I was referring to previous entrants identifying themselves and not necessarily the winners.
It seems a pity that people have gone to so much trouble to produce their designs yet then remain anonymous forever.
Of course if they wanted to remain anonymous that should be respected.

unscrupulous people | "Unscrupulous people"! On the Cinderella Stamps Forum! Surely that is a heinous, unfounded and just plain impossible suggestion, Hilary!
(Well, except for Keith, obviously, as demonstrated by his subsequent post. )
Forgive me, Keith. I couldn't resist. Put your lawyers back in their box.

Is it possible to change my vote, having already submitted one on impulse without really looking at the designs in detail?

We have not made a specific rule (as I have always focused the rules heavily on the submission of the stamps and not the voting side of the equation) but I think for the sake of simplicity when totting up the results, and for all-round fairness (no-one has ever changed their vote in previous years) I should say that the first vote submitted is to be considered final.
Does everyone agree with that? If you don't then please make your arguments (here or PM) and lets discuss it and we can incorporate the result in next year's rules.
