Just found this little label (contrast adjusted, it's a touch faded) on the back of a nondescript Canadain cover dating from 1937.
Thought it was kind of cute.

My images came from a 1920s book of US advertising 'cut and paste' artwork which i had roughed up a bit to look more 'vintage'.

I thought your's looked more 1950s, sort of Amercican sit-com of that era

Both stamp dealers and philatelic clubs have, quite logically, used stamps on outgoing mail to promote themselves and the hobby. I the case of clubs just a mention of stamp collecting would be sufficient. I have seen examples of both cases on eBay, but haven't got any images or examples in my collection (apart from the Laernu above).
